Car Rental Terms and Conditions

Teritorial use of the car

T

The use of a rental car is without exception only allowed within the state territory of Greece. It is not permitted to take the car out of Greece. By car rental on one of the Greek islands it is generally only permitted to drive the car on the same island. The car may not leave the island. It is not allowed to take rental cars from the mainland to the islands.

Traffic Violations

Administrative sanctions resulting from traffic violations incurred during the rental period are at the expense of the renter.

Extra costs

If the wrong grade of petrol is filled, the renter will be required to pay for repairs caused by his/her negligence. By loss of the key or remote control, the renter will be required to pay for a replacement. Price is dependant on dealer and make of car. Damage to rims or soft tops and cigarette burns inside the car are not covered by the insurance. Any such damages are to be reported on the signed incidence form when handing back the car. A charge will be raised accordingly.

Minimum Ages

For drivers of category A (C1 or Similar) & B cars (Peugeot 208 or Similar), the minimum age requirement is 21 years and for all other categories, 23 years. He/she must have held a valid driving licence (the original, not photocopy or photo) for at least 12 months.We accept all valid driving licences issued by EU authorities. Driving licences of Non-EU-countries will only be accepted in combination with an International Driving Licence.

Same to Same

Your vehicle will be supplied with fuel. To avoid incurring fuel charges you will need to return it with the same amount of fuel as it had when you collected it. Missing fuel will be charged on your return. Fuel charges are payable at the rental desk unless otherwise stated in the top section of rate details.

Deliveries-Collections-Meeting Point

CRETE / KOS / RHODES For one or two rental days the car delivery/collection is not free and it has a extra charge of 5€ per way or 10€ per way for long distance areas like Plakias, Milatos etc Hotel delivery / collection between different regions is not free and it has a extra charge which is to be paid directly to autocandia locally.

Full insurance: 0 euro excess, Tires and Chassis Insurance, Third party liability including insurance for occupants. i. Death or 3rd party injury ii. 3rd party material damages iii. Fire damage Theft, and damage caused by theft and vandalism (as long as the renter presents a police report & the car key). *Cases of gross negligence on the part of the renter, which lead to theft, damage and vandalism, (e.g. leaving key in the car) prohibit the provision of a substitute vehicle and the refund of original rental charges, and are not covered by insurance. Sums insured are determined by Greek/European regulations. Unlimited Kilometres

Taxes

24-hour breakdown service. Substitution of the vehicle within 48 hours in case of accident or breakdown. Accidents and collisions are to be reported within 24 hours. Free additional driver. Road map. Child seats. Category of the Car We guarantee the delivery of a rental car within the chosen category. We do not accept reservations for a particular make of car and reserve the right to change the category in exceptional cases.
